- Wife carrying –
This is a sport that originated in Sonkajarvi, Finland and it involves the male competitors trying to race each other with their wives on their backs. Every year at the North American Wife Carrying Championship, the winners can get their hands on the region’s traditional prize that is, as much beer as the wife’s weight, cash that is five times her weight and also an entry into the World Championship in Finland.
- Chess Boxing –
Chessboxing is a bizarre hybrid of punching your opponent in the face and also checkmating them on a chess board, all at the same time and same place. This battle has 11 rounds in which the competitors are required to alternate between boxing and playing the traditional chess.
- Cheese Rolling –
This cheese rolling event takes place at Cooper’s Hill in Gloucestershire, U.K. every year. What happens is that a giant cheese wheel is set rolling down a steep hill and the competitors are required to race after the rolling cheese. The winner is the first person to reach the bottom of the hill.
